About ISBI 2024

The IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) is a scientific Symposium dedicated to mathematical, algorithmic, and computational aspects of biological and biomedical imaging, across all scales of observation. It fosters knowledge transfer among different imaging communities and contributes to an integrative approach to biomedical imaging.

ISBI is a joint initiative from the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

The 2024 meeting will be a hybrid event organized physically in Athens, Greece and also virtually, welcoming author and attendee participation in either mode, where we will include tutorials, and a scientific program composed of plenary talks, invited special sessions, challenges, as well as poster presentations of peer-reviewed papers.

The IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) is the premier forum for the presentation of technological advances in theoretical and applied biomedical imaging. ISBI has played a leading role in facilitating interaction between researchers in medical and biological imaging. The future meetings will continue this tradition of fostering cross-fertilization among different imaging communities and contributing to an integrative approach to biomedical imaging across all scales of observation.

Having started from Washington USA in 2002 and travelled to many beautiful countries, the journey continues with next stop the capital of Greece, Athens. Athens, known for its exceptional history and views, never fail to disappoint its visitors and thus ISBI’s attendees will have the opportunity to combine the Symposium with some touristy experience.
