InterSp[æ]c(i)es: Anatomies of Imaginaries
Abstract
“InterSp[æ]c(i)es: Anatomies of Imaginaries” merges human anatomy with the natural world, revealing the inherent unity across species. This 50x160cm high-quality print, created through AI’s poetry-to-image magic, incorporates elements of the spinal column, mushrooms, jellyfish, and mycelium, crafting a new Imaginary Species. Inspired by the symbiosis in nature, the piece invites viewers to visualize an organism embodying this harmonious anatomy, challenging the notion of nature as ‘Other’ and fostering a sense of oneness.
Rooted in my ongoing research project called “Dreaming of (e)CO-Realities”, this artwork urges a reevaluation of our ecological connections, advocating for a world healed through care and imagination. It embodies my commitment to using art as a catalyst for environmental empathy and structural change, showcasing a profound exploration of life’s interconnectedness.
