Instructions for author presentations

ISBI 2024 INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHOR PRESENTATIONS

If your paper was selected for an ORAL presentation:
We request that you prepare your presentation file according to the guidelines below and hand it over to the support staff in the speaker’s preview area.
Guidelines for preparing your oral presentation:

  • Slide ratio: 16:9
  • Presentation length: Your presentation should be 10 minutes long plus 5 minutes for questions.
  • Format: PowerPoint or PDF
  • Please bring your presentation file on a standard USB drive and hand it over to the support staff at the speaker’s preview area.
  • Please make sure you are there at least 2 hours before your session starts; presenters in early morning sessions can hand over their presentation files the previous day.
  • You are not allowed to use your own computer to present.

If your paper was selected for a POSTER presentation:
We request that you prepare your poster according to the guidelines below, print it and bring it with you on the day of your presentation.
Guidelines for preparing your poster presentation:

  • File format: 1-page vertical format
  • Dimensions: A0 (width: 841 mm or 33.1 inches; height: 1189 mm or 46.8 inches)
  • The title of your poster should appear at the top in CAPITAL letters about 25 mm high.
  • The abstract number should be placed in the top right corner of the poster.
  • There is not a formal poster format to follow.
  • Please print and bring your poster with you. There will not be on-site printing.
  • Materials to mount the poster will be provided.
  • At least one author must be by their poster during the designated poster session.
  • Posters scheduled for morning sessions should be taken down by 13.00, while those scheduled for afternoon sessions should be taken down by the end of the last session of the day.
  • You cannot hang your poster prior to your presentation day.

Frequently asked questions

Can multiple people present a paper or poster?
Yes, multiple authors can present a poster but there is limited space near each poster.

Can I use my own laptop to present?
No, you are requested to bring your presentation file on a USB and hand it over to the support staff in the speaker’s preview area.

Can I print my poster on-site?
No, on-site printing will not be available, so you must bring your pre-printed poster with you.
